About Me

Hi, I am Jay!

I am a Member of Technical Staff at Microsoft AI. Prior to this, I was a Member of Technical Staff (Applied Research) at Contextual AI.

I graduated from UMass Amherst with a Master’s in Computer Science. During grad school, I was also a Graduate Student Researcher at the Information Extraction & Synthesis Lab (IESL) under Prof. Andrew McCallum. Before grad school, I spent three years at JPMorgan Chase’s Commercial Banking division as an Associate Machine Learning Engineer.

Research Interests

I am broadly interested in Natural Language Processing, Reinforcement Learning and Information Retrieval.
